Another dust storm came through the valley this evening. Although I am hesitant to call it a haboob because there was no force behind it. I got caught in this storm but it wasn't very windy. In fact it just looked like fog and I didn't feel like I was in a dust storm until after about five minutes outside when my phone had a very fine film of dust on it.

I had just gotten online and the weather picture for Tempe was a different picture than I had seen before and it said, "Haze". We wondered if you were having another Haboob. A few minutes later the weather picture for Tempe showed blue sky and big yellow sun! Interesting.
That was sort of what it was like. I could actually see blue sky above the haze.
Although oddly there was a deadly crash on the interstate near Casa Grande this time, even though it didn't seem as sudden or violent as the last one
The news just said the accident was on I-8 and included 8 semi trucks that ran into each other (going 50 mph in 0 visibility) apparently the first semi just stopped in the slow lane - don't think he turned off his lights but no one died
