ha! two posts in one day! I have to make up for lost time you know.
so my roomies and I did indeed go to Dublin Bay today (in the town of Dun Laoghaire - pronounced dun leery - go figure, right?!), and I did indeed go in the water.
it wasn't that bad once my legs went numb. almost felt warm.
almost.
but now I can, and do, say: I have been in the Irish Sea! no one else on my trip can say that. none of you can say that. ha, so there. history made.
you should know that I am not crazy though. there were a ton of people and their kids at the beach today. I am apparently more like the Irish than not. woo woo!
now for a hot shower and a nap. toodles!

Oh my, I can hear you screaming from the cold water all the way over here, my dear! You definitely get to hold the fame for dippin' in the Irish Sea, that's for sure. I'd much rather join you and Liz and Margie and a few other nerdy family members and tour the great libraries of the world! I love nerds!!!
Detouring around burning peat bogs sounds like a regular Thomas-type adventure to me. Glad you enjoyed it. I'm also glad you're seeing (and enjoying) the scenery. :-)
That being like the Irish makes sense you know - what is your middle name, after all?
Faith an' begorra, ye have lots of Irish blood in ye, me dear! Never be forgettin' of it!
It sure does sound like a Thomas-type adventure, especially the part about 'well, we don't know where this road goes, but let's check it out and see!' And lo and behold it turned out to be a good alterante route. How 'bout that? That had to be the best tour bus story I've heard yet!
