That is right, I am living out of one suitcase, and a backpack. The other purse/bag in the pic is my newest acquisition. My mom bought it for me, and it is theftproof, supposedly. It is lined with wire mesh (even in the strap) so it is slashproof, it has a whole bunch of clasps that you can put your zipper handles through so they can't be opened (snatchproof), and it has hidden compartments as well. Supercool to say the least, don't leave your home country without one!
you should be more proud of me because that suitcase has an empty pocket and is not expanded! yeah, you heard me. I have extra space! I am prepared to buy stuff over there, and be able to bring it back. I am pretty happy about it.
I actually got all packed up the night before my flight, which is odd. I am usually packing the morning of, but not so for this trip. Kind of silly when you consider I don't leave for the shuttle until 1pm.
I am really excited at this point, to be going. I assume that feeling will change when I actually turn off my phone and leave the confines of my wonderful internet. the lack of instant communication is definitely going to bother me. On the otherhand, maybe I will enjoy my stay in the UK just that much more since I don't have to discuss with anyone what I am doing beforehand.
many of you have been very good about giving me mailing addresses for the postcards I plan to send out in the future. I guarantee you will recieve at least one postcard if you have given me your address. There is also still time, I will have internet access all summer, so you can still send me your address via email.
I appreciate all the well wishers sending me messages to have fun and be safe. But seriously people, have I ever led you to doubt my carefulness? Amethyst said it best when she told me to "be careful...but not too careful." that is my mantra. I am not going to do anything outright dangerous, but I also don't want to pass up a last minute opportunity to hop over to Belgium or Italy. I am sure some risks will be taken, but for the most part you all know I am a big wuss, so no worries.
Wow! This time tomorrow, I will be in England! Cheerio!

Your suitcase seems much smaller in the picture, but I have seen it. It's huge. However, I still congratulate your packing prudence, and eagerly anticipate my postcard.
(And by carefully, I mean 'snog everything british and hot')
