Tubing!

Ok, I finally have pictures! woo woo!

http://asu.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2051699&l=0ccfe&id=10003217 (sorry, you will have to cut and paste this into your address box)

so yesterday we went to Westminster

today, after class my compadres and I ventured out for more sight seeing. We finally used the Underground (or the Tube as they like to call it) and it really was fast! trains coming and going constantly. so we took the underground to Trafalgar square

It houses the National Gallery of art (that big building) and then the square itself, which is right near Piccadilly Circus, Westminster, and Covent Gardens. it is also where I finally found souvenir shops to get postcards and the like.

We also visited Harrods today! talk about a department store! chocolates were a department, as were fruits and veggies, and there was an entire floor of toys! craziness!

We walked all over! and ended up in the Waterloo train station, as well as Kings Cross station (and yes, I have pictures of me at platform 9 3/4!) my friend tells me there is a real Leaky Cauldron as well, so we are going to get a pint there too!

We ended up in Covent Gardens to find a pub. we were unsuccessful yesterday because we got a late start looking (yes, 7 is late) and there was a huge football game on, so everyone was at a pub. we really need to get to the pubs earlier in the day. luckily, today we were successful, and Strongbow is the way to go. for those of you not in love with beer (wha?! don't dare say it!) Strongbow is a yummy hard cider. great at pubs.

I know there is so much more to put in, and I wish I could have had the time to figure out how to get pictures from facebook, into this blog, but so far it is being annoying about it. maybe this weekend I will mess with it for a while.

Hope you are all having wonderful summers as well! (ps, the whole homework thing attached to this school thing with the whole study abroad thing is really probably not going to happen much. too much reading for no payoff. except for quiz days. hee hee)

Yay for England...I'm just realizing how drab Arizona actually is. Have fun.
